This amino acid Arginine has been know to have many health benefits  including assisting with the aging process, cardiovascular system, digestive system, excretory system  musculoskeletal system, nervous system Immune system and even the sexual system. Arginine is an interesting amino acid that is technically classified as non-essential since our bodies can make it, but because it becomes limiting and conditionally dispensable. Once L-Arginine enters our bloodstream and circulates throughout the body, an enzymatic reaction occurs that converts arginine to nitric oxide. It is the nitric oxide that gives the body a positive effect and helps improve cardiovascular systems, and other areas other the body.


L-Arginine improves blood circulation, exercise capability. It also increases the release of the human growth hormone, helps to prevent abnormal blood clotting, reverses adverse effects of high blood pressure and it also lowers blood pressure. When it comes to the digestive system, reduces intestinal permeability, alleviates many cases of ulcerative colitis, reduces ulcers, and improves outcome in sepsis. Arginine helps heal wounds and it may also help men who suffer from erectile dysfunction.


Arginine is also a great supplement to take when doing high intensity workouts. Arginine supplementation reduced the amount of oxygen required to perform exercise and increases efficiency.  Individuals who take L-Arginine accomplished the same exercise load as others but will use less energy.
