Often times, when talking to body builders and athletes, even weekend warriors, we come across the question, “what is nitric oxide? Why is it so crucial to heart health and cardiovascular wellbeing?” Well, plainly speaking, without nitric oxide we’d probably all have blocked arteries and heart disease.


What is Nitric Oxide?

Nitric oxide is gas that is found naturally in the body. Its main function is to facilitate blood flow and circulation throughout the body, keeping oxygen flowing to extremities, dilating blood vessels, and keeping blood pressure controlled. Nitric oxide is a crucial part of the human anatomy.
