In researching a national as well as global concern, heart disease and atherosclerosis, (also known as arteriosclerotic vascular disease or ASVD), we at, came upon Nitric Oxide, known in the scientific world by the chemical formula name NO.  It is a powerful little molecule that was actually named “Molecule of the Year” in 1992. Dr. Louis J. Ignarro, M.D., PhD, and Nobel Prize Winner for Medicine in 1998, along with his colleagues Ferid Murad, M.D., PhD.,  and Robert Furchgott, also a biochemist and PhD., had discovered the “atom of cardiovascular health“.  Dr. Ignarro has written papers and even books sharing how this little molecule  has changed the way doctors, chemists and scientists view the potential for this dramatic piece of science.

It is an amazing truth outlined in Dr. Ignarro’s book NO More Heart Disease that with one of four parts of NO’s catalyst, L-arginine, the following can be realized in very short order.

  • Lower your blood pressure
  • Improve your circulation
  • Delay the onset or progression of atherosclerosis
  • Reduce your likelihood of (and possibly prevent) having a heart attack or stroke

We’ve always heard there is “Power in the word NO” but now, that phrase takes on a whole new meaning.  We will be providing current and relevant posts on the latest science on Heart Health as well as Health and Fitness.  We at are dedicated to bringing you the latest research and the most sound science through nature – the way it was intended!

Here’s to your health!
